A lasting legacy: Information event on wills
About the event
It's never easy to think about what will happen when we're gone, but having a will detailing all of your wishes is an essential part of life. We've organised a session with a local solicitor at The Wolseley Centre so you can be fully informed on the process and what’s involved.
Catherine Elliott, Head of the Wills, Trust and Probate Department at Keelys Solicitors, together with two colleagues from their Litigation Department, will explain the importance of making a will and benefits of doing so properly. They will also cover any changes made in the budget, share stories of what can go wrong and the pitfalls to avoid.
We will also hear how various gifts in wills over the years have made a difference to Staffordshire’s wildlife and from supporters who decided to leave a gift to the Trust in their will. If, after providing for family and friends, you would like to leave a gift to Staffordshire's wildlife in your will, we would be truly grateful. A gift of any size ensures your love of nature lives on, even the smallest amounts can make a real difference. Gifts in wills have enabled us to do some really amazing work around the county and protect important places for wildlife.
Places are limited and must be booked in advance by Friday 15 November at the latest. For more details, to book your place, or find out more about how a gift in your will could make a difference to Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, please email Sarah Collier on s.collier@staffs-wildlife.org.uk
