Staffordshire Wildlife Trust works with young people in a variety of ways. Young people are our hope and our future, which is why it's so important we involved them in caring for wildlife across the county.
Tree climbing fun - Ade Clarke
#GetWild
These sessions allow eight to 15- year-olds to leave their parents at home and go wild outdoors building dens, climbing trees and cooking over the campfire. A great chance for them to make friends and connect with nature.
#GetWild sessions takes place in the school holidays at locations including The Wolseley Centre in Wolseley Bridge, Westport Lake Visitor Centre in Stoke-on-Trent, nature reserves and at parks and green spaces around the county - check out our events page and search 'Get Wild' for your nearest session.
Tame Valley Wetlands
Youth Rangers
Open to anyone between 14-25 in the Tamworth area, Youth Ranger groups are a fun way to explore Tamworth's green spaces. We work with local volunteer groups to do practical conservation work on different reserves. Join us if you want to: gain experience in conservation, meet new people, learn new skills, improve your CV, make a difference in your local community or just to get outside and benefit both physically and mentally. Campaigns
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust campaigns on local and national issues that affect the county's wildlife and wild places. We'd love you to involved with our efforts. We have a long history of campaigning for positive change for nature and people, and helping local communities to save special places for wildlife. Find details on our current campaigns here.
Volunteering
Join our practical volunteer groups to get involved in a variety of tasks such as scrub clearance, footpath construction, fencing, tree-thinning and much more. We also have volunteering opportunities outside of conservation too, including in our charity shops and offices.
