Beautiful setting

The Hub and garden are based at our popular Wolseley Centre headquarters, on the edge of Cannock Chase AONB. Surrounded by 26 acres of people and wildlife-friendly grounds, the venue sits in harmony with its landscape – a perfect setting for learning about nature, team building, or simply treating delegates to a greener meeting place.

Thanks to funding from Severn Trent, the pond for our rain garden has been dug, and the wetland plants are beginning to grow. This will become a sustainable garden for the hub and will create a further teaching space, as well as serve as a practical "tool" to help minimise the impact of flooding and drought on a local level.

Purpose-built design

Designed to host school children on their outdoor learning journeys (see our learning offer here...), the building has a moveable dividing wall, offering space for two separate groups (capacity of approx. 35 each) or one larger group (capacity of approx. 70) at any one time.

There are six loos for students’ use in an open plan layout which enables staff to safeguard children in addition to three adult toilets, including one fully accessible toilet with an adult-sized changing table, and baby-changing facilities.

Each classroom has a sink and counter space; there are tea-making facilities available, or you can get in touch with us for details on our bespoke catering.

Experienced and professional team

Our staff across departments are dedicated to Staffordshire’s wildlife and its supporters. By booking with our local charity, you are enabling us to continue vital conservation and wellbeing work.

Our People Engagement, Catering, and Front of House teams take customer service seriously. Please don't hesitate to make a special request or reach out if you have special requirements.

 Fantastic event facilities

With free wifi, donation-based car parking, catering, interactive whiteboard, laptop and other tech supplied, we have what you need at the Learning Hub - not to mention the stunning grounds to utilise and explore!

Well connected

In Staffordshire, the heart of the country, our Wolseley Centre location is right off of the A51 between the county-seat of Stafford and Rugeley – an up and coming zero carbon/sustainable town.

 Fully accessible venue

Free disabled parking and access throughout the venue. Adult changing facilities are available. The rooms also feature dimmable lights and scent diffusers for individuals with additional sensory needs.
