The Trust, the county’s largest nature conservation charity, are asking people to get in the festive spirit at their ‘Wild Christmas Quiz’ on Saturday 12th December.
The family-themed quiz will be hosted by Mike Dilger, who originates from Stafford, and is best known for his appearances on BBC’s popular magazine style evening programme ‘The One Show.’
It is being held to raise funds for the Trust’s special Craddocks Moss appeal. The quiz is free to attend, but the charity is welcoming donations to help with the appeal efforts to buy the site, near Stoke-on-Trent.
Lauren Penny, Senior Marketing Officer for Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, said: “We’re so glad Mike has agreed to join us to host the quiz, which should be a great evening and a super way to get in the Christmas spirit.
“It is a family event which will be held virtually so those attending can get cosy and put their wildlife knowledge to the test. Rounds will include picture rounds and ‘what’s that sound’ questions – plus lots more fun.
“It is completely free to attend and sign up, but we would welcome donations to our recently launched Craddocks Moss appeal where we’re looking to secure the future of this important site for wildlife.”
Those who sign up will also receive a how-to-guide on creating a Christmas wreath for birds along with the event link to join the session.
The quiz will be held between 5pm and 6.15pm on Saturday 12th December. For more information and to sign up visit https://www.staffs-wildlife.org.uk/Christmasquiz
