The county’s largest nature conservation charity will have a presence at the Keele University’s Green Festival 2020 on Thursday 19th March. The Trust will be telling people about its work to mitigate the effects of climate change which will be a big focus of the festival this year.
The festival takes place from 9th - 20th March across the campus and includes all sorts of opportunities to explore sustainability, from green-themed food to health and wellbeing walks, workshops to information stands and hands-on activities.
The Trust will have an information stand at the festival, which will also include finding out more about the conservation work it carries out, its education programme and how people can get involved with the charity, including volunteering.
In addition, Jon Rowe, Roaches warden, will be carrying out a guided walk at the reserve, near Leek, as part of the festival, and Denise Gold, also of the Trust, will be holding a talk on the work of the charity. The charity will also be attending Staffordshire University’s Green Week on Tuesday 10th March where they will be raising awareness about the work it carries out across the county.
