Call on your MP to back our campaign
Will you write to or email your MP and ask them to call on Rt Hon George Eustice, Secretary for the Environment, to strengthen targets so we can ensure a nature-rich Staffordshire for future generations?
Nature is in big trouble. More than one in ten species in England are on the brink of extinction, and the UK is amongst the most nature-depleted countries in the world.
In November 2021 the Government passed its new Environment Act, which contains a draft of new legislation outlining how we look after our natural environment.
The Government is currently finalising the targets which will create the legal framework for nature’s recovery for decades to come.
However, the proposed targets lack ambition and mean that our wildlife populations and wild places will continue to suffer. We need to make sure these proposals are strengthened.
Will you help by contacting your MP?
It's as easy as 1, 2, 3:
Step 1

Step 2
Download our template letter (link below) and fill in your details. Feel free to personalise it and add in why nature is important to you.

Step 3
Either e-mail the letter to your MP, or print and post it to them. Don't delay, we only have until 27 June to make this difference.
