Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is looking for more volunteers to get involved with their important work.

There are two roles on offer, one is helping at the Trustā€™s charity shops in Codsall and Penkridge. They are also looking for a volunteer van driver to help move stock between visitor centres and charity shops around the county.

Georgina Stockhall, Cluster Shop Manager for the Trust, says:

ā€œOur volunteers are the beating heart of Staffordshire Wildlife Trust; we couldn't do the work we do without our wonderful volunteers. The money we raise at our charity shops helps us fund different conservation projects around the county and also provides a retail service to local communities. We're really excited to be expanding our team."

The shops also serve the function of repurposing manufactured goods when items are purchased by a new owner. Georgina added, ā€œIt might seem obvious that a charity shop is a great way to reuse items and raise some money for charitable purposes, but from a conservation perspective; it is also an act to care for our environment and lessens the amount of things going into landfill.ā€
